The searches behind every post

See the Google searches that showed your pages, how often they appeared (impressions), how many people clicked, and your average position, where 1 is the top of the page.

  • Searches and pages side by side with your own visitor numbers
  • Click a page to see exactly which searches bring readers to it
  • Updated every night, automatically
  • Google’s figures arrive two or three days late and leave out rare searches, and we say so on the page

What to fix this week

ReaderCount compares the last four weeks with the four before and picks out up to six posts worth your time, biggest first. Each one says what happened and what to do about it.

  • Slipping on Google: a page whose average position has dropped by two places or more. Refresh the facts, prices and date.
  • Seen but not clicked: a page in the top five that gets far fewer clicks than that position usually does. Rewrite the title and description.
  • Nearly on page one: a search where you sit in positions 8 to 20 with plenty of impressions. Add a section that answers it and link to it from related posts.
  • Losing visitors: a page with at least 30% fewer visitors than before, whether or not Google is connected.

A short email every Monday

Your weekly email arrives on Monday morning with a card for each website: visitors and page views for the last seven days, the change on the week before, a bar for each day, your top three pages and sources, and the posts worth fixing.

The subject line gives you the headline straight away, such as “yourblog.com had 1,021 visitors last week, up 12%”. Switch it off in Settings whenever you like.

Read-only, and yours to disconnect

We ask Google for read-only access and copy five things each night: searches, pages, clicks, impressions and average position. We can’t change your Search Console settings or anything on your site.

Disconnect at any time and the Google data we copied is deleted straight away. We never sell it, use it for adverts or use it to train AI.
