Use ReaderCount with Claude
Add ReaderCount to Claude, then ask about your website in plain English. Claude can read your stats, never change them, and it only sees the websites on your ReaderCount account.
Before you start
You need a ReaderCount account (free) with your website added, and a Claude account. To ask about Google searches, connect Google Search Console on your ReaderCount stats page first.
Connect
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. Find ReaderCount in the directory (or open ReaderCount in the Claude directory), or click Add custom connector, name it ReaderCount and paste
https://mcp.readercount.com/mcp. - Click Connect. Sign in to ReaderCount with your email and the code we send you.
- Check the websites listed and click Allow. You're back in Claude, connected.
Things to ask
- Which posts did best this month, and how long did people read them?
- Where did my readers come from last week? How many came from Reddit?
- Which affiliate links get clicked most, and on which posts?
- What do people search on Google to find my Fastmail review?
- Which posts are shown a lot on Google but rarely clicked?
What Claude can see
Claude can read four things: the list of your websites, a summary for any period, a breakdown by page, source, country, device, day or link, and your Google search figures if you've connected Google. Visitors are counted without cookies, so there's nothing personal about your readers to see.
Disconnect
On your ReaderCount stats page, click Disconnect Claude under "Ask Claude about your stats". That stops access straight away. You can also remove ReaderCount from Claude's Connectors settings.
